Previously on The 502, Deputy Holmes travelled up-the-line to investigate a tip from his secret source and learned secrets about Sheriff Sanchez and the case; Private Eye Magnum is peddling theories on the possible killer (s).
"Well, well, well, look who it is!" says Sheriff Sanchez. "Back from the spa from up-the-line?"
"Hey boss," says Holmes. "That's over 30 kms, there and back."
"Through deep bush!" exclaims Holmes. "And, the bugs, they're as big..."
"Please!" interrupts Sheriff Sanchez. "You've been gone a week, tell me you found something."
"Funny you should ask," says Sanchez. "I ran into an ole friend of yours named Catrina, she sends her regards, said you were quite the karaoke singer."
"Catrina...I don't remember a Catrina," questions Sanchez.
"Yeah, well, she remembers you," says Holmes. "Said you met every Friday night!"
"I remember a Corrina," mumbles Sanchez. "Was I calling her by her wrong name that whole time? What else you got?"
"Hold that thought!" Sanchez looks to the sky. "Magnum..."
"Well, look who it is?" says Magnum."Back from a little vacation, eh, Holmes, they serve all-beef sausages at the B&B?"
"It's called police work!" says Holmes. "Something you once did before you got kicked off the force."
"Kicked off," questions Magnum. "I make more money in six-months than you do in a year and we do the same amount of work, except I was always better!"
Sanchez interrupts, "Please, you peddle theory."
"That's right!" says Magnum. "Want to hear another one?"
"No," says Sanchez. "This ATM is closed."
