In this episode, Sherif Sanchez and Deputy Holmes visit Kariya for information on who killed The Mayor and Overlord.
Holmes and Sanchez walk into the woods looking for Kariya.
"Boss," says Holmes. "What happened with Pronger during your investigation?"
"Any chance he's the money behind all the real estate being scooped up?" says Holmes.
"His money was clean and cleared," says Sanchez. "I'll send you a copy of the report."
"Let me run ahead," says Holmes. "I'll see if Kariya is at his usual spot."
Holmes runs down a well-worn path.
Ten minutes later. Sanchez reaches a cross-road.
"The Road Less Taken..." sighs Sanchez.

"If I were a duck, where would I hide?" says Sanchez.
A female voice can be heard from behind him.
"Duh, near water," says the voice.
Sanchez peaks over bushes, looking for where the voice came from.

"You have to be police?" says the female voice. "You're both the noisiest creatures out here."
More noise can be heard in the distance.
Deputy Holmes can be seen running in the distance.
"Sheriff Sanchez is what they call me," says Holmes. "Over here Holmes!” he screams.
"Get your nasty dog breathe outta my face, Holmes!" says Leslie. "We all know you're looking for Kariya, just know we all want this killing to stop, no respect for nesting season."
"Take a left at the bridge is what she said," says Sanchez.
"I'll run in there and see if I can see anything," says Holmes.
"Let me do the talking if you find anyone," says Sanchez.
"I found Kariya and others," says Holmes. "They asked to speak to you, specifically!"
"Me?" yells Sanchez. "That's weird, why?"
"You have an outstanding reputation, Sheriff Sanchez," says Kariya, "Can we talk in private?"
"All we want is peace to return to our little town," says Kariya. "And, quietly, you had every member of the duck clan at your disposal, feeding you information."
"And, still," says Kariya. "You failed to see what was right in front of you."
"Sanchez, your brother..." says Kariya. "He turned years ago."
"He's a mercenary!" says Kariya. "Been working with someone with deep pockets from up-the-line; certainly, not one of us. Word on the street is the contractor stiffed him on the payment and he's on his way up there to settle the debt."
“They said the one calling all the shots is the biggest bird in the area," says Holmes. "does that sound right?"
"Where did he say to go?" says Sanchez.
"The Old Stafford." says Holmes.
“I was just there a couple of days ago.” yells Holmes.
